The Search Party Never Came by Vanna review

THE SEARCH PARTY NEVER CAME
Vanna
Epitaph Records

Vanna’s musical output definitely lies within the post hardcore genre, and should appeal to fans of bands such as Underoath and Norma Jean. Based out of the thriving New England music scene, Vanna was signed to Epitaph after being together for less than a year. Their debut EP for the label is entitled The Search Party Never Came, featuring an impressive six-pack of harmonious tunes. Delivering both infectious melodies, driving choruses, and heavy grooves all within the context of the same track, songs such as She’s A Real Battleaxe, I Am The Wind, You Are The Feather, and That Champaign Feeling are bound to win this band a good deal of converts well beyond their hometown of Boston. Now in the midst of recording their full-length debut, The Search Party Never Came serves a perfect introduction for a band who just may find themselves very well known by this time next year. A significant discovery, expect Vanna to follow in the same road to success as label mates From First To Last and Escape The Fate. (Kenneth Morton)
