Dodsferd is a one man Black Metal project from Greece who has been making a big name for themselves on in the underground. Fucking Your Creation is the title of Dodsferd’s latest effort, a collection of misanthropic Black and Roll guaranteed to jar the senses of all who dare to listen. Introduce yourself, tell me what you do in Dodsferd, and how long the project has been in existence.
Dodsferd is something more than a project! Dodsferd is something more than a band! It's my ideal! I am Wrath, I am Dodsferd! All music and lyrics are written only by me! I record everything except for drums. Existence; I've been bleeding for Dodsferd since 2001!

Prior to Dodsferd, were you involved with any other bands or projects?
Grab and Kampf are two of my side projects, two of my other bands! Two tape EP's have been released, so far, for Grab, Behold Your Future and Grab, and one tape EP has been released for Kampf, Nothing But Wrath!. In Grab, I am working on the music with War, but the lyrics are written only by me! In Kampf, all music and lyrics are written only by me!

What is the Black Metal scene like in Greece, and how does your music fit into the scheme of things, if at all?
Dodsferd doesn't belong to any kind of scene, especially the black metal scene in Greece! I don't know anything about them, and to tell you the truth, I don't give a shit about them!

Where do you derive your ideas and inspirations for your lyrics?
The sense of loss and the daily stupidity of human kind, combined with my sickness and the strange state of mind I've been the last years, inspires me to write the lyrics for my propaganda!

Has Dodsferd ever played live or do you plan to do so in the future?
Dodsferd has appeared in two live shows in the past. I don't know about the future. I am thinking about it. But only when time is right, Dodsferd will appear in a live show! I have to find session musicians that will be capable in embracing the cause of Dodsferd, my philosophy and point of view in order to perform live with me! No mistakes again!

Would you ever want to work with any other musicians on a future Dodsferd effort? Why or why not?
As you can see, I have worked in the past and I am still working with several session musicians, as far as it concerns the recordings and the live appearances of my band. Now, I am working on with the same drummer (played in the Fucking Your Creation album) for the recordings of my new full length album! You can say that he is something like a session member in Dodsferd. But, whatever happens in the future, the philosophy will never change! Dodsferd will always be only Wrath!

What do you think of other one man Black Metal projects such as Leviathan and Xasthur? Do you maintain a correspondence with any of them?
Leviathan and Xasthur are two of the bands that I respect a lot! They are dedicated to what they are doing; they are dedicated to their sick, depressive music! Their music is true! You feel that it's coming from the abyss of their souls! No, I don't maintain any correspondence with them at all! I would like that as also I would like to work with them for a future project, or a split with their bands! Wrest and Malefic are dedicated to their philosophy and their music, as I am!

How do you feel about sources such as Myspace spreading Black Metal music to the masses? Should a Black Metal dude even have a Myspace account?
I would never spread my propaganda through the source of Myspace. I've never done it so far and it's not in my intention in doing it at all in the future. All the others can do whatever they want; it's their music, and their philosophy, so I don't care about it. It's out of my concern.

Do you feel it is even possible for Black Metal to become "commercial?" How do you feel about bands like Cradle Of Filth and Dimmu Borgir?
It has already become "commercial"! The same stupid masses have entered the underground field of black metal. So what did you expect from that situation? I wouldn't like to talk about these two bands!

Do you know the guys in Rotting Christ and are you a fan of their music?
No, I don't know them! I like their old stuff, but when I say old, I mean very old!

Rotting Christ has experienced their material being banned because of their band name. Have you ever experienced any such censorship in Greece or anywhere else in the world?
No, I have never experienced any such censorship! But it is completely different with Dodsferd. These days it has become a trend to provoke in order to gain publicity and to be liked by the masses! Fuck all of them. I do whatever I want! I am not going to change for anyone! I have got my own way to spread my music and propaganda!

Do you feel that people are shocked anymore when it comes to Satanic lyrics and imagery?
I don't feel anything at all about them!

How close are you to recording and releasing new music?
At this time I am working on my second full-length album from the Dodsferd trilogy! Until the end of June, it will be ready!

If the world were to suddenly come to end, what song would you like to hear blasting before the final explosion?
No song, only the sound of the final explosion! It's a soundtrack itself!
