The perfect mixture of thrash and power metal may be found on the sophomore release of Crown The Lost’s new CD entitled Blind Faith Loyalty. Not based out of Europe but from Pittsburgh, PA, Crown The Lost is another example of promising underground bands from the States making a significant difference to the worldwide metal arena.
Comparisons to Maiden and Iced Earth may abound, yet Crown The Lost execute it well with an imagination and flair. The most striking aspect of the band is the mesmerizing vocal inflections of Chris Renaldi, whose impassioned delivery instantly draws the listener in. All musicians involved are absolutely first rate, whether it be the guitar hero showmanship or the impressively tight rhythm section. Songs that standout include the devastating opening track Defame The Hypocrites, the thrashing anthem-like Symbiotic, and the brilliantly melodic Bound To Wrath.
