Before Their Eyes Rise Records Updated: 12/06/08
Rise Records sure knows how to find the talent! Fear Before The March of Flames, The Devil Wears Prada, Drop Dead, Gorgeous – and now from Ohio comes Before Their Eyes. The band has just concluded headlining the ambitious One Moment Tour all across the country, and has really made a name for themselves since their self-titled debut. The Dawn Of My Death marks their second effort, and it looks like the notorious “sophomore slump” has totally bypassed these guys.
The Dawn Of My Death demonstrates a positive development within the band. While the intensity is there in full force, the choruses are more ambitious, sweeping and memorable. The musicianship is also well above what one would expect from a band playing the so-called metalcore genre. Stand out tracks include the driving The Things We Stood Against, the anthem-like Life Was All A Dream, and especially the party hard rock inflections of New Kids In Town. This release definitely makes Before Their Eyes a serious contender on the music scene – a band whose passion and sheer talent is a force to be reckoned with. The Dawn Of My Death is vibrant and full of life, representing a true high point for the Rise Records catalog as well as a must for all who like to discover exciting new talent. On tour forever and ever, so be sure to catch Before Their Eyes when they hit your town!
